A stone’s throw away from the restaurants and terraces on Saint-Charles Street and 5 minutes away from the Jacques-Cartier bridge, the construction crews and machines at this site in Vieux-Longueuil are now working full-steam. This time next fall, they’ll be delivering a brand new condo project: Station Sud. Trekking through the snow on a cold winter day, we find Serge Fortier, president of Inovim Inc., (a Prével Alliance partner) and the man responsible for building this new project.
For the past 5 years, Inovim Inc. and Prével Alliance have worked together in developing superior living environments across the Montreal area. What do these two different developers have in common? Their desire to innovate and offer something different.
“I don’t like to do things exactly like others. I don’t care to build something for the sake of building. My goal is to offer a different and innovative project that fully meets customer expectations.”
With this new project, they try to go a bit further. For Station Sud, their reflections led them to integrate an infinity swimming pool on the roof, complete with a terrace and lounge areas. From the rooftop terrace, residents will have incredible views of the St. Lawrence River, the fireworks and downtown Montreal.

The exterior architecture of the building, much like the pool area, is inspired by the river. These differences are also reflected in the choice of materials and equipment. For example, the windows have been improved to provide optimal acoustic insulation, ensuring residents live in peace and tranquility.
As comfortable in a suit meeting with businesspeople as he is on the construction site in jeans, Serge Fortier meticulously ensures that all stages of construction go smoothly. He tells us that at the moment teams are doing excavation work. They will then pour concrete slabs for each floor before closing up the exterior of the building. Finally, they will install all electrical systems at the same time as they coat and finish up the outer brick wall.
We leave Serge Fortier and return to the comfort of our office, imagining ourselves, feet in the water, head raised, watching the summer fireworks!
