Campo: Downtown’s Finest Natural Portuguese Chicken

The Ferreira Group is reiniventing Portuguese chicken
Le campo, le restaurant de poulet portugais, local et naturel, du centre-ville de Montréal.

Located in the heart of Montreal, Campo is the newest addition from the Ferreira group, which opened its doors at the beginning of 2016.

Their concept? Local Portuguese chicken (which we love so much) fed with natural grains!

A fast-casual dining experience, the establishment is also the perfect place to enjoy your chicken in a modern and friendly atmosphere.

Campo distinguishes itself from its competitors for many reasons, but here are five that will have you stopping by ASAP!

1. Delicious, natural chicken

Campo serves clean, healthy food. The restaurant specializes in Portuguese chicken, but not just any chicken, they’re all grain-fed and hormone-free. A pleasure to hear and taste!

“Make a wish my chicken”
is what you’ll read on the posters before being greeted by their mascot, a red flaming chicken.

At Campo, the relaxed and modern atmosphere makes you quickly forget the word “fast” from fast food. The restaurant has white brick walls with the restaurant’s slogan on posters throughout, a beautiful, unique touch

The kitchens are open and visible to the entire restaurant.

The restaurant’s dining room was designed by Provencher Roy and can accommodate 35 seats.

3. The variety of dishes

Full chicken, half chicken, ribs, sandwich, grilled chicken poutine, chicken wings, etc. Campo offers a wide variety of fast casual food accompanied by BBQ or Portuguese sauce – our favorite.

Available in a combo or by itself, we have a preference for the combos, which come with crispy fries and a cabbage, quinoa or green salad.

4. Delivery & take-out

One of the advantages at Campo is their delivery system. In a few minutes you’ll smell the hot chicken at your doorstep.

Delivery is available in Griffintown, Little Burgundy, Westmount, McGill West, Old Montreal West, Chinatown, downtown, Pointe-St-Charles and Saint-Henri. Fast and tasty meals for everyone working or living downtown or in the surrounding areas!

5. Small sides that make all the difference

Prices are very affordable for a downtown restaurant offering grain-fed chicken.

It costs $10 for the half chicken, $17 for the full, $13 for 12 chicken wings or $8 for a grilled chicken sandwich.

You can wash it all down with a wide selection of drinks: liqueurs, beer, Portuguese sparkling wine, or white, red or rosé wine from different Portuguese vineyards in the bottle or from the barrel (only white or red wine comes in a glass, half liter or liter).
