Window dressing is an important part of any home, not just aesthetically but also functionally. For those who have a tough time making decisions, it is wise to hire a specialist. These days there is a wide range of options to dress your windows according to your needs, tastes or mood. Keep in mind that we usually hang on to our blinds or curtains for 5 to 10 years. Pretty pink vertical patterns with green spots, perfect in the kitchen this year, may be tough to look at in two years\u2019 time. Unless you have an unlimited budget, better to think ahead!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For windows in rooms that require privacy, such as a bedroom, there are several possibilities. Horizontal blinds can be installed, opaque roller blinds, block-out pleated blinds, or curtains for a chic and cozy look. You can also combine both types of dressing, like putting blinds inside the window with decorative curtains as a second layer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Privacy Without Opaqueness <\/u><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For window treatments in rooms such as the living room, kitchen or office, it is important to be able to filter the sun’s rays without blocking the outdoor views. The sun can damage furniture, especially if it is leather, and even change the color of your floor over time. Horizontal blinds, solar roller blinds (you can choose the level of transparency) or sheer curtains on a decorative pole or a ceiling railing are all good options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
