You\u2019ll find French pastry classics such as the \u2018Opera\u2019 or \u2018Paris-Brest\u2019, as well as many original creations. Delicious croissants, both chocolate and regular, are also fan-favorites. For first-timers, the lemon tart is really worth the visit!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re looking to take a break while strolling through Old Montr\u00e9al, you can also enjoy their desserts on site. For those who are a bit hungrier, explore the delicious lunch menus with all kinds of salads, platters and sandwiches (including beef tartar!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Have you always dreamed of being a pastry chef for a day? Well then it\u2019s your lucky day because Christian Faure offers pastry courses to both professionals and \u2018serious amateurs\u2019 alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Take a look at the photos on<a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/cfaureMOF\/photos_stream?ref=page_internal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u><strong> their Facebook Page<\/strong><\/u><\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/maisonchristianfaure.ca\/comptoir-et-boutique\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u><strong>Maison Christian Faure<\/strong><\/u><\/a> &#8211; 355, Place Royale<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Other Great Gourmet Finds <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have a sweet tooth like me, here\u2019s a few other pastry spots in the same neighborhood as our condo projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/patricepatissier.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><u>Patrice P\u00e2tissier<\/u><\/strong><\/a> &#8211; 2360, rue Notre-Dame ouest; Local 104<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their success has continued since their opening last year. I have a weakness for the chocolate cake with coffee from Saint-Henri micro-roaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mamieclafoutis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><u>Mamie Clafoutis<\/u><\/strong><\/a> &#8211; 2660, rue Notre-Dame ouest<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A new franchise opened its doors a few months ago in Little Burgundy. It\u2019s a great place to pick up goodies for a picnic on the edge of the Lachine Canal, because on top of a variety of desserts and pastries you\u2019ll find a wide range of sandwiches, salads and quiches. For those who have never tried the clafoutis (a kind of flan with fruit), it\u2019s the perfect place to try it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cookiestefanie.com\/index.php\/fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><u>Cookie St\u00e9fanie<\/u><\/strong><\/a> &#8211; 272, rue St-Jacques ouest<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For foodies who prefer gluten-free, head to Cookie St\u00e9fanie to enjoy delicious cookies, cakes and other goodies! Some products are also made without milk or eggs. According to my colleague Marie-France, everyone loves this place, even those who don\u2019t have gluten allergies!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.barabeurre.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><u>Bar \u00e0 Beurre<\/u><\/strong><\/a> &#8211; 350, rue Notre-Dame est<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their specialty is the butter ball (the name is surprising but theme-appropriate!), which resembles a cookie-dough made macaroon stuffed with pastry cream and rolled in sugar. For sugar lovers only! You\u2019ll also find cupcakes, pastries, several kinds of bread and homemade jams.
