Allow me to retrace for you the first steps of this new condo project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>February 1st marked the beginning of construction at 21<sup>e<\/sup> arrondissement, starting with the removal of asphalt covering the parking lot that previously occupied the premises.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\" style=\"--ratio:66.5004985045%\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.prevel.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/blog\/2014-09-09-d%C3%A9but-travaux-21e.jpg\" alt=\"D\u00e9but des travaux au projet de condos 21e arrondissement, dans le Vieux-Montr\u00e9al.\" class=\"wp-image-1001440\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>By early May, support structures surrounding the excavation site were completed. This work is essential to holding the soil during excavation. It is during this phase that the three floors of underground parking were built.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\" style=\"--ratio:66.5004985045%\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.prevel.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/blog\/2014-09-09-2-mur-sout%C4%8Dnement.jpg\" alt=\"Avancement des travaux au projet de condos 21e arrondissement, dans le Vieux-Montr\u00e9al.\" class=\"wp-image-1001442\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Soon after, repair work had to be done on the underground of an adjacent building on William Street. Such work was necessary to maintain the foundations of the building during construction at our site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In mid-May, the footings of the building were cast, laying the foundation of this great project!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On June 1st, the project reached an important milestone. It\u2019s a moment that everyone likes to see: the construction crane being installed in the middle of the site. Soon enough, the structure of &nbsp;21e arrondissement will take shape.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\" style=\"--ratio:66.5171898356%\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"669\" height=\"445\" src=\"https:\/\/www.prevel.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/blog\/2014-09-09-3-grue-rotated.jpg\" alt=\"Avancement des travaux au projet de condos 21e arrondissement, dans le Vieux-Montr\u00e9al.\" class=\"wp-image-1001444\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.prevel.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/blog\/2014-09-09-3-grue-rotated.jpg 669w, https:\/\/www.prevel.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/blog\/2014-09-09-3-grue-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 669px) 100vw, 669px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Since then, the concrete slab of the second parking level was cast in mid-June, followed by the ground floor during the past several weeks.
